I was in awe the other day after having heard Benny Benassi's, Who's Your Daddy come onto the radio. Where I'm from its not everday that a song classified as "Techno" is played on a local radio station, which brought me to thinking, why is that?
Each time I sign onto the net, I plug myself into http://danceradio.cz. As far as I'm concerned this is the best of music stations, hands down! The Czechs keep their music upbeat 24 hours a day! So why hasn't North America adapted to the sound of Electro?
Almost 10 years ago, Canadians and Americans alike saw the end of the "Pop" music phase. This later led to something known as the "Rap" phase, which I'm sure people of all ages are familiar with. Although I do ocassionally listen to a Hip-Hop song now and then, I don't understand how a station dedicated to pimps and hoes alike continues to survive.
The reason for the lack of Electro could stem from another music related debate. "Electronica isn't real music" But of course, every individual is entitled to their own opinion. So let's hear yours!
